Are there items that will not be moved by Loading Helpers?
There are certain items that we will not move due to safety and/or fragility issues. These include grand pianos, large gun safes and any other items that can be dangerous to move without the proper equipment. During the estimate process, please advise us about any household items you have questions or concerns about.
Who is responsible for furniture pads?
Furniture pads are a necessity during a move. They allow us to protect your furniture and belongings from damage. You can rent furniture pads from your rental truck provider or we can supply pads for your move for in-town moves. We are not responsible for damage to items if furniture pads are not provided by the customer.
Can you help me choose a company that rents trucks?
We work closely with many truck rental companies in town. We can refer you to a trusted company that can handle your rental truck needs. We can also help you locate and reserve a storage unit. And, our partner companies offer our customers discounted rates!
How do I pack an LCD, Plasma or other flat screen TV?
Using the original box and packing supplies your TV came in is the best option when packing your TV for your move. When that is not possible, one option is to purchase a specialty television box from U-Haul. Another option is to have the TV crated. Crating is especially important for long-haul moves to ensure your TV arrives safely. We offer custom television crating, ask for details.

How can I keep the cost down?
1. Have your home packed before we arrive if you are not hiring us for packing services.
2. Give yourself enough time to get the rental truck to your residence before your move is scheduled to start. We recommend you schedule your move an hour after you plan on picking up your rental truck.
3. Disassemble items that need to be moved.
4. Take small items to your new residence before your move date in your personal vehicle, if possible.
Can I tip the movers?
Most customers choose to tip between 15%-20% to our movers who provide professional and courteous service. Tipping is not required, however it is greatly appreciated!
Does Loading Helpers offer any discounts for services?
Yes, we offer discounts to seniors, military personnel and also for booking your move during off-peak times. Ask about discounts when booking your move.
What if I have items over 250lbs?
It is important to inform us of any items that may require extra manpower during your move in order to avoid damage to the item. With advanced notice we will make sure to have the proper equipment and enough manpower to safely move the item(s).
When do I pay and what forms of payment are accepted?
Loading Helpers accepts cash and credit cards. Out of town moves are cash only. All prices quoted are cash discount prices.
Where is Loading Helpers located?
Loading Helpers has two locations. We have offices in Sacramento, California and Reno, Nevada.
Why would I hire movers without a truck?
We can save you hundreds of dollars (up to 50%) if you rent the truck, versus hiring a traditional moving company. We provide skilled movers to load, unload, and pack your items. You rent the truck, we do the rest!
